The Therapeutic Setting
My professional working space is quiet, safe and confidential space in West London. The front entrance has a keypad for easy access. There is a large comfortable waiting area with a water cooler. The consulting room is located fifteen minutes walk from Westbourne Park tube station and 10 minutes walk from Maida Vale.
Direct Referral Consultation
For direct referrals I will arrange for an initial consultation. It is an opportunity for you to gain a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process and allows me time to get to know you, and understand the psychological difficulties you are bringing. It also gives us space to decide whether the psychoanalytic approach is appropriate to your needs. If we decide not to move forward together I will do what I can to redirect you to an alternative resource. I charge £60 for a consultation.
Ongoing Treatment
The treatment varies from between once a week and four times a week, depending on what the client is able to manage and what seems appropriate. Though the work is open ended, the therapy usually follows a three phase structure, with particular emphasis on the end phase.
I use a sliding scale for patient fees: Depending on what is affordable, and the number of weekly sessions, I charge between £60-£110 per session
Consultation and Assessments
For Consultation and Assessments I see patients for up to three sessions. In these Asessments I try to ascertain a clear picture of the patient's history, their current difficulties and their capacity to make use of a Psychotherapeutic treatment model. If the patient is suitable for treatment I will write a report that can be sent to a Psychotherapist for ongoing treatment. For the first Consultation I charge £90 and less for subsequent consultations if they are needed. .
